This assignment is a introduction to typography and layout in print with the intent to learn about typographic design principles and to explore with typography and layout design. I was given a choice between Indian, Asian and Arabic typography as a theme. After choosing a theme I where to design a book cover and the first pages of the book. All of the text and images was given in advance so I just needed to concentrate on the design and layout.
The book is a introduction to Eastern typography for designers who needs to learn about the subject. My main focus for this book was to create a credible and strong design and maintain good readability at the same time.
